There were several clues that this was not an ordinary football interview. Sitting opposite Thierry Henry was one of them — but the most obvious was the instruction not to mention football.
Henry flew into London after Barcelona’s Champions League victory away to VfB Stuttgart on Tuesday to promote a collection of clothes by Tommy Hilfiger, [...]

They say patience is a virtue and Manuel Almunia would surely agree. The Spanish goalkeeper has been understudy to Jens Lehmann since he joined Arsenal three years ago but an injury to the Germany No 1 has given the Spaniard his chance. He has taken it with aplomb.
Almunia played in six successive first-team games before [...]

Phew! What a weekend of EPL action! The pick of the bunch was the London derby, Tottenham vs Arsenal. It was an interesting battle, from every which way and angle you look at it. On one side, you had Martin Jol, his days at Spurs apparently numbered, and would a relieved man if he could [...]

Thats right folks, its unanimous. Its indisputable. The readers have voted, and i have no reason to believe that they are all anti-Arsenal fans. They might be Blackburn fans though.
In my previous post, i questioned van Persie’s maturity and whiny-ness, and 83% of you have agreed, van Persie is a BIG WHINY BABY. All hail [...]

The table above makes tough reading, but simply put, in Arsene’s 621 games with Arsenal, he has won 361 games, drawn 145 and lost 115. All in all his Arsenal side have scored 1115 goals while conceding 563. It gets even more interesting when we convert these stats to percentages, as you [...]

I remember the commentator mentioning that since the time Arsene Wenger took over until now, 69 Arsenal players have been sent off. However, they are the only team i’ve seen that play better with 10 men than with 11.
Arsene’s studiously plotting and scheming
In a peculiar way, i wonder if this has made them better at [...]

Gunners striker Robin van Persie attacked Mark Hughes’ side after the Premier League clash at Ewood Park in August, claiming that a Rovers player had trodden on Cesc Fabregas’ neck, and that Blackburn players had ‘crossed the border’ of acceptability in their play.
Arsene Wenger went on to claim after the match that Rovers had [...]

“I made a tape of him last year and you wouldn’t believe how many chances he had, in some games he had three! When he was a young boy he scored goals and that’s a nice disease to have, sometimes it disappears but it always comes back when you are mature. He has a lot [...]
